By participating in the "Becoming a Personal Defender" event at the range, women will gain a variety of skills that are essential for personal safety and self-defense. These skills include:
1. Pistol Fundamentals: Women will learn the basics of handling and shooting a pistol, including proper grip, stance, and aiming techniques. This foundational knowledge will enable them to handle firearms safely and effectively.
2. Carrying Concealment: Women will receive training on how to carry a concealed weapon, if they choose to do so. They will learn about different types of holsters, how to properly conceal a firearm, and techniques for drawing and re-holstering their weapon.
3. Trauma Management: In addition to self-defense skills, women will also receive training in trauma management. They will learn basic first aid techniques to respond to injuries or medical emergencies effectively, providing immediate care until professional help arrives.
